How to extract pages from a PDF

Extract vs split vs delete
Three tools solve neighbouring problems. Extract keeps the pages you select and discards the rest. Split cuts the document into chunks (every N pages, or at set points). Delete removes specific pages and keeps everything else.
Rule of thumb: if you can name the pages you want, extract. If you can name the pages you don't want, delete. If you want the whole file in pieces, split.
One file or one PDF per page
Extracting to a single PDF is right for sending a section of a report. Extracting each page to its own file is useful when the pages have separate destinations — individual invoices from a batch scan, one certificate per person.
