How to rearrange pages in a PDF
Scanned in the wrong order, merged files that interleaved badly, or a report whose appendix belongs at the back — page order is the most common thing wrong with an otherwise finished PDF. Reordering is a drag-and-drop job: see every page as a thumbnail, move them where they belong, download.
Open Organize PDFStep by step
- Open the Organize PDF tool and drop your file in to see a thumbnail of every page.
- Drag pages into the order you want; rotate any that are sideways while you're at it.
- Download the reordered PDF.
Reorder, rotate, and delete in one pass
Fixing order usually surfaces the other problems too: a page scanned upside down, a blank page in the middle. The organize view handles all three at once — drag to reorder, rotate a single page, remove the ones that shouldn't be there — so you don't round-trip through three tools.
Nothing else about the file changes: text, links, and quality stay exactly as they were, because the pages are moved, not re-rendered.
When merge order went wrong
If you combined several PDFs and the result is in the wrong sequence, you don't need to redo the merge. Reordering the combined file gives the same result, and it's usually faster than re-uploading the originals in the right order.
For big documents, work from the thumbnails' page numbers rather than memory — it's easy to swap two similar-looking scanned pages.
FAQ
- Is my file uploaded anywhere?
- No. The organize tool runs entirely in your browser, so the PDF is processed on your own device and never leaves it.
- Can I rotate or delete pages while reordering?
- Yes. The same view lets you drag to reorder, rotate individual pages, and remove pages before downloading.
- Will reordering reduce quality?
- No. Pages are moved, not re-rendered — text, images, and links stay exactly as they were.
